Welcome to the Legacy Rodentry!
We at Legacy Rodentry and Critter Haven no longer breed rodents. Though I love the animals and love to experiment with genetics, I have realized that there are far too many rodents that need homes already, and they deserve to find a home before more are brought into this world. Also, I was always in fear that one of my babies, or the offspring of one of my babies would end up being mistreated or as snake food, so I am now exclusively a rescue!
Don't worry though, please contact me, because pretty much anything you would like to adopt, I can find a deserving animal who meets that description, and who needs a new home for you!
Also, if you know of animals who need rescuing, I will do my best to take them in.
If you are looking for a pet that is intelliegent, charismatic, funny, and sweet, then a rodent may just be for you! Guinea pigs (cavies) are clean, inexpensive, easy to care for, easy to get along with, hardy, and loads of fun! They are the ideal pets for apartment living, or people who prefer low-maintenance, highly-loveable pets, or for younger children who may have had a bad experience with rodents before.
Right now for adoption I have 2 male guinea pigs, both very sweet and well-handled, good with young children. One is an abyssian white with a chinchilla patch over one eye, the other is his son, a ruby-eyed white. He is 1/2 abyssian, 1/2 peruvian, so his hair is longer, and silky, still with the cowlicks though. The adoption fee for either will be $10.00, waivable upon a home and vet check. Thanks!
